A view through the beach huts and in the distance is the pier, we spent a long time on the pier, all the way round the handrails are brass plates with inscriptions of birthdays, deaths, memories all made as a donation towards the refurbishing of the pier. The pier was free to walk on and the amusements were purely for amusement, there were machines we had never seen before, no jackpots or sirens, just pure enjoyment
